Dr. Nitin Jain is named IEEE Fellow and is being recognized for technical leadership in mmW System-on-Chip IC modeling

Nitin Jain, Anokiwave Founder, CTO

San Diego, CA, 15 January 2019:  Anokiwave, Inc., an innovative company providing highly integrated IC solutions for millimeter-wave (mmW) markets and Active Antenna based solutions, today announced Dr. Nitin Jain, Anokiwave Founder and CTO, has been named a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for leadership in the development of physics-based models for mmW System-on-Chip ICs.

The IEEE grade of Fellow is conferred in recognition of unusual and outstanding professional distinction. It is awarded at the initiative of the IEEE Board of Directors following a rigorous nomination and evaluation process. Individuals receiving this distinction have demonstrated extraordinary contributions to one or more fields of electrical engineering, or related sciences. The total number of Fellows selected in any one year does not exceed one tenth of one percent of the total voting Institute membership.

Under Dr. Jain’s leadership, Anokiwave’s portfolio of highly integrated silicon ICs have seen an extremely high percentage of first pass design success showing his attention to detail, his EM simulation ability, and the integrity of his modeling of the mmW, RF, analog, and digital circuits. This is something rarely accomplished in this market.

The IEEE is the world’s leading professional association for advancing technology for humanity. Through its 400,000 members in 160 countries, the IEEE is a leading authority on a wide variety of areas ranging from aerospace systems, computers and telecommunications to biomedical engineering, electric power and consumer electronics.

“Nitin, the Co-Founder of Anokiwave with his wife Deepti, has had a long history of creative and innovative work and is one of the best engineers with whom I have had the pleasure of working during my career,” states Robert S Donahue, Anokiwave CEO. “He is skilled at all levels of engineering from the transistor level to the microwave system engineering level. This award is quite well deserved, and both our company and the industry are better due to the contributions made by Nitin. We are all very proud of him.”

Dr. Jain earned his B.Tech degree (in Electronics) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India in 1986, and his MS and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY USA in 1989 and 1991, respectively. He has over 37 publications in international conferences and journals, and more than 35 granted and pending US patents.
